Body in Freedom

Holistic Wellness Coaching for the Pelvic Floor

What if you could take small actions to reduce or eliminate these common problems?

√ Unwanted Leaks

√ Organ Prolapse

√ Vaginal pain

√ Lower back and hip issues

√ Constipation

√ Urinary frequency

And what if you could enhance your breathing, core strength, balance and vitality?

Now that would be a Body in Freedom!

How do I achieve this?

  • By learning some key insights about your pelvic floor (and surrounding core) to better understand its critical functions in your body.
  • By doing some highly effective and holistic exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor and core (no invasive tools necessary!). Kegels are not the answer to holistically addressing weakness in the pelvic floor.
  • By creating a few empowering habits for your pelvic floor health.

Body in Freedom offers 1-on-1 online coaching and support from the comfort of your home with personalized guidance, instruction, resources and encouragement to help you achieve a healthier pelvic floor in a short amount of time (a noticeable transformation within 6 weeks).

My name is Gwyneth Jones, and I specialize in helping people like you achieve greater freedom in your life through developing a healthier pelvic floor and surrounding core.

I am a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (in the State of Colorado), a certified Personal Trainer since 2009 (with the American Council on Exercise) and a passionate advocate and educator for pelvic floor health. My specialty is in coaching individuals using the principles of the Female Chain Reaction and “three-dimensional” movement, combined with powerful habit formations to transform pelvic floor health. I also teach classes in functional movement combined with the use of the Pelvicore Pro ball.

What’s included in your 1-on-1 coaching sessions?

  • Understanding how your core and pelvic floor muscles function
  • Understanding what causes dysfunction
  • Developing a greater self-awareness of your own core and pelvic floor health
  • Understanding your current base line and your ongoing progress

  • Evidenced-Based, multi-plane, full-body exercises; not Kegel focused
  • Convenient and non-invasive (can be done at home and not requiring others to touch or manipulate the pelvic floor or surrounding areas)
  • Involve not only strengthening exercises but also muscle and fascia release, alignment/postural work, breathing and stretching, all increasing the effectiveness of the exercises for the core and the pelvic floor

  • Effective habit formation through supportive strategies based on the powerful Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model
  • Increased motivation through alignment with your own values and goals
  • Encouragement and support throughout your coaching sessions!

Is your Pelvic Floor working optimally for you?

Do you experience more frequent urination, untimely leaking, and/or constipation? Do you have problems with lower back pain, poor posture, hip pain, or inefficient breathing?

A healthy Pelvic Floor together with a strong, well-coordinated core play a key role in being able to live an active and vibrant lifestyle. The Body in Freedom coaching program helps you eliminate or reduce urinary incontinence, constipation, lower-back and hip pain, and other pelvic-floor related issues, while improving functional core fitness for enhanced posture, mobility, breathing, sexual vitality and overall wellbeing.

How are Body in Freedom exercises different from other fitness exercises?

Body in Freedom exercises are informed by science and are curated for their effectiveness, safety, non-invasiveness, and holistic outcomes for the pelvic floor.  They are designed to engage the pelvic floor and surrounding core muscles in a more complete way that does not exclude the coordinated chain of muscles involved in pelvic floor support. Despite popular advice, Kegels are not the answer to holistically addressing weakness in the pelvic floor, as these place too much focus on an isolated area.

Many of the exercises taught by Body in Freedom can be done with nothing more than your body, a chair and a mat. But their effectiveness is enhanced with a simple yet effective exercise accessory, the Pelvicore Pro, as well as other optional exercise tools. Body in Freedom exercises are inspired by best-practice exercises from Vinyasa Yoga, as well as functional fitness training with three-dimensional movement.

What’s the big deal with the Pelvic floor

Many common problems are actually due to a deconditioned core and pelvic floor. The pelvic floor consists of layers of muscles and connective tissues shaped like a bowl located at the “base” of our sacrum and tailbone (bladder, urethra, intestines, vagina, uterus/prostate, rectum) which play critical roles.  The pelvic floor lifts and protects this organs and have a significant influence on sexual pleasure. A healthier pelvic floor will enhance sexual pleasure.

Problems such as leaks can arrive after childbirth, as well as constipation or straining to defecate.  Don’t neglect your pelvic floor! By identifying your values and building greater self-awareness and effective exercise habits, you can experience freedom from these problems.

At Body in Freedom, we provide a coaching program that addresses the needs of your pelvic floor holistically and effectively.
